Trauma

2474391893 1A part of you is stuck in the moment it happened.

It doesn’t matter how much time has passed.

You go through the motions of life, but something inside you feels frozen… numb… disconnected… like you’re watching yourself from a distance.

Then, there are the times when you feel everything all at once. A smell, a sound, or even a random thought can pull you back into it. Suddenly, your heart pounds, your chest tightens, and your body reacts before you even understand why.

And afterward, you’re left exhausted and ashamed, wondering why you can’t just “get over it.”

You don’t trust the world anymore.

Maybe you don’t even trust yourself.

You question your reactions, your memories.

You feel on edge, like danger is always just around the corner.

You want to feel safe, but you don’t know how.

2242641921 1And then, there’s the emptiness.

It’s a sadness in your soul that can’t be described.

Some days, you feel angry at what happened, the people who hurt you, and yourself for not being “stronger.”

Other days, you feel tired – too tired to explain, too exhausted to try… too tired to feel anything.

You know people want to help, but…

They don’t understand.

How could they?

YOU don’t fully understand what’s happening inside you.

You know you’re not the same… and wonder if you will ever be again.

You’ve been “coping” with the trauma for long enough.

Distracting yourself…

Staying busy…

Convincing yourself that you’re “fine.”

Well… no more pretending.

2415109727I’ll help you heal and move on.

You don’t have to stay stuck in survival mode.

In therapy with me, we’ll work together in a steady, supportive way to help you feel safe, grounded, and in control again. I’ll guide you in learning how to calm your mind and body when stress or memories take over through the practice of mindfulness.

We’ll use simple practices like slowing down your breath, staying present, and noticing what’s going on inside without getting overwhelmed so that you can feel more centered and clear-headed in your everyday life.

As we build that sense of safety, we’ll begin to gently work through the experiences that have left you feeling anxious, shut down, or constantly on edge by using EMDR therapy. I’ll help you look at what happened without getting lost, so you can finally process it and stop carrying its weight every day.

We’ll work together to identify patterns in how you think and feel about yourself, and we’ll start shifting those from self-blame or fear toward self-understanding and strength.

You’ll learn how to notice and challenge the negative beliefs trauma left behind, such as “I’m not good enough” or “It was my fault,” and replace them with truths that support your healing. I’ll also help you reconnect with what makes you feel alive, empowered, and whole.

Whether that’s rebuilding trust in yourself, setting healthier boundaries, or feeling more connected in your relationships, we’ll move toward it together.

This work is effective because it gives you real tools, a clear process, and a strong, consistent guide by your side.

I’m here to help you feel supported, understood, and deeply capable of healing, no matter how long you’ve been struggling.

You don’t have to keep running.

If you’re trapped by your past and unsafe in your present, you need a real way out.

No more pretending…

No more putting it off.

You don’t have to do this alone. I’ll support you every step of the way.
